Ps2 Hd Loader 0 8c Iso

I've got an early PAL model of FAT PS2 with messiah mod-chip. Unfortunately the lense is getting old and so several games need to be played on my new Slim PS2 - imports need to be booted via disc swap. 6120c Ngage Installer.

I put the whole ISO file on the hdd, around 7.5Gb, so it takes a lot of room. I have given up trying to shrink it. I'm using HDLoader 8b and HDLoader 8b+ (the GOW one) set to mode 3 (Kill HDLoader after boot). No modchip, just the PS1 exploit. This is the first time I have run into this problem, and a search of.

This is fine, since all my imports are single layer, and my dual layer games are PAL. But I really want to play the NTSC version of Sakura Wars, which is dual-layer. Disc swapping is out, and dual-layer PAL games like Rogue Galaxy aren't loading on my messiah PS2 any more. Corpse Party Blood Drive English Release. :( I've checked the HDloader website, but they say that it's not for imports, it's only for your domestic games - they even have a PAL version for PAL PS2s. (is this true?

WTF is the point of this?!?!) What I ideally want: My messiah modded PS2 to have an HD which I then put my collection of 30 games on to, which is evenly split between the 3 regions (PAL, NTSC-U, NTSC-J). Then I can pack my Slim up and just run this puppy until it dies. Is this possible? Can HDloader be used to run any region of game? How difficult is this to set-up?

Am I allowed to ask for links to places to buy HDloader, besides the official website? Did they really region-lock their own device?

(if so, what a bunch of numpties). HDLoader can load import games even on unmodded PS2, once they're on the HD. This was my main way to play imports, in pre-modding times.

The problem with unmodded PS2 is they don't even install the game on HD, so you have to transfer them via FTP or attaching the HD to a PC and using a software like WinHIIP. But that's a problem that doesn't touches you, as with the lens gone you should use one of the alternate methods anyway;) The real problem is that, as far as I can remember, HDLoader isn't compatible with dual layer games.

Check a recent version of the software, and maybe search for a specific patch for the game. I've mainly used firstly a DMS3 chipped PS2 and then FreeMCBoot when the laser died on the chipped one. Once the laser has died or if you don't have a chip then an IDE dock or caddy is useful for installing imports. IDE Dock (There is a trick with HD Loader that can be used to install imports that sometimes works. Start HDloader and select install - open the tray as prompted but don't yet start. Put your import disk in the tray - press and hold eject - as soon as the tray has closed press X to install - release eject.

The timing is critical though. Regarding chips and FreeMCB - it wouldn't work for me unless the chip was disabled. Found this thread: Unfortunately, it seems that Sakura Wars (if it's the same you want to play) does not work with HD Loader. Thanks for linking to that.

Turns out SW isn't compatible. Ah well, my main reason for wanting HDloader was Sakura Wars, and all my other games would have just been a bonus. Looks like it's time to replace the lense as Speedlolita said.

I'm planning on selling my modded Wii after finishing Fragile, so don't want to clutter it with any more stuff. Cheers for all the advice guys.:). I looked at all the options for playing Tales of the Abyss and Sakura Wars. Getting a US PS2 ended up being the cheapest, most reliable option.

Hmm, will look into that. Out of interest what model is it? You'll have to order a lens accordingly of course.

I'm not sure when the model changes, but you'll probably want a 400B if it's older (3000x). SCPH-30003 PAL model. I'm happy to say that since buying it new and chipped, I never had any trouble with it until about 2008, when Rogue Galaxy wouldn't load. I must have clocked 750+ hours on it. After spending many hours trying to get mcboot to work I am ready to smash my PS2 up, for the love of god someone please tell me which USB sticks actually work on this piece of poopy? 64mb ntfs 16k no pendrive found 64mb fat default size? The official HDloader is not the same as the one you use with FreeMC Boot. It has been modded by the community for 'additional' features so there shouldn't be any problems with dual layer disks now. As you have a chip you should be able to boot HDloader from a CD as these nearly always still work even with a dodgy laser as it is normally the DVD reading that is affected which is usually caused by alignment or focus issues. There is also the Open loader project which might be worth invesigating. For USB sticks - Look for a Draxter Ultramem 64Mb;).

Well, you can even FTP to them if you wanted to, but yeah you can back them up. In regards to the USB thing, the microSD to USB adaptor I got with my first R4 works wonders. Katsujinken, if your unit is PAL then I'd be happy to perform the installation. Yeah it's a standard chunky PAL one and luckily for me the ARMAX has now destroyed my Official Memory card:mad: So much show it doesn't even register its existance on planet earth or in either PS2:cry: The most annoying thing is that to damage the card it must have sent some of the files lol, why only send a few over you baddy you! I tried the PS1 ARMAX route to and that was mega effective at playing the chuffing PS1 games I did the Exploit Saves for but I could have just played them by putting the damn discs in:dry: The unit is a SCPH-39003 if that makes any odds?
