How to Operate Your Safe 1. Installing/Replacing the Batteries Remove the battery cover plate and install the four 1.5V (size AA) alkaline batteries. Ensure that the (+) and (-) positions are correct.

(If your safe has a round V-3 electronic lock, turn it to the left and pull the panel. Be careful not to damage the cables by pulling the panel too forcefully.) After opening the safe, you should program two codes of your own to take the place of the two factory-preset codes, which are 1-2-3-4-5-6 and 5-6-7-8-9-0.! CAUTION Do not close the safe until a new code has been entered. Try the new code before locking the safe. Programming the First Code Step 1. After opening the door, find the white memory button. Press the START button on the control panel.
The LCD display will show '------'. Enter your 6—digit code (For example, 7-7-7-7-7-7). Press the memory button and make sure that the LCD display shows 'In' and that you hear a beep. Test the new code with the door open.
